Property Description

This recently renovated waterfront home offers all the exciting recreation of Lake Anna with abundant privacy thanks to its lush, natural surroundings. Offering accommodations for up to thirteen guests, The Retreat at Oak Cove provides space to connect and relax whether inside around the table or lakeside around the fire pit.

Located on the private side of Lake Anna, the boat dock provides space for you to tie up a boat (on the side, no lift or slips available) and use any other water toys you'd like to rent or bring with you. There's also plenty of room to swim and float your cares away in the secluded cove. The gated neighborhood has private community dock with a boat ramp for your convenience.

You'll find ample entertaining space down at the lake on the sunny patio and the covered boat dock. There are plenty of adirondack chairs for you to use for an afternoon of reading or soaking up the warm, summer sun.

The house also offers a wraparound porch with lake views with chairs and a gas grill for your use.

The rec space downstairs has a ping pong table, air hockey table, and a beverage fridge. Each of the three gathering spaces has a large TV with a Roku box ready to customize with all your streaming subscriptions. There are also DVD/Blu Ray players and a DVD library you are welcome to use.

                • Check in: 4:30 pm, Check out: 9:30 am
                • Weekly rentals only (Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday).  Can accomodate at minimum a 4 night stay at an increased nightly rate.
                • No smoking. No pets. No parties/events. 
                • Minimum age of primary renter: 30
                • Max occupancy: 13
                • Linens and towel service is mandatory: $140; Cleaning service: $250
                • All garbage must be placed in bags and securely tied when placed in garbage cans.
                • 100% refund if canceled at least 90 days before arrival date.
                • Any pets brought to the property will result in your immediate eviction with no refund.
                • To receive full security deposit after your departure, the property must be damage-free and all checkout procedures followed.
                • Payment is by check or Zelle.
                • Guests with boats: Notify owner if bringing watercraft so we can provide you with the key to access the community boat ramp. The home is located on the private side of Lake Anna (only property owners and guests can access the lake). The private side is therefore more enjoyable with less boat traffic for fishing, water skiing, tubing, wake boarding, and boating. There are no marinas with gas (so you'll need to bring your own).

                We found this place to be a very cozy retreat for our family along with several friends. The house has three different living room spaces along w a nice porch that allows for some great places to talk, watch tv or just relax. The upstairs bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the downstairs bunkroom was a great place for the kids to crash. The dock was a nice place to fish off of with lots of room to also allow the kids to swim also. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

                So relaxing! We loved our time there. Nice and secluded and quiet. Comfortable beds. Nicely furnished. Kitchen is extremely well stocked. Lots of space to gather but also separate for kids and adults. We’ll be back!!

                A lovely spot for our weekend girls’ trip! The house is spotless, and beautifully decorated. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout! I also appreciated how spacious the basement area is- two very large seating areas, a big tv, books to read, and games to play. The bunk-room will be an absolute hit with kids! The outdoor area by the lake is serene- a great place to relax. Highly recommend this getaway spot!

                It's hard to overstate how great this house is. The place is larger than the pictures depict, and the layout was near perfection for our three families (3 adults and 5 kids) with plenty of room for everyone. The bunk room was a huge hit with the kids and the remainder of the property, including the dock, is thoughtfully furnished and well stocked. I've rented several houses at Lake Anna, and this is among my favorites. The fish are plentiful (even the young ones caught monster catfish and bass), and the water was a great temperature for late August. Our only complaint is that the owners appear to be Eagles fans :) Despite this minor detail, we hope to be able to rent here again soon!

                Our visit to the Retreat at Oak Cove was the perfect ending to the Virginia summer season. The home is beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches all around. You feel welcomed from the moment you step in the door. Additionally, you will not want to leave your front row seat to Lake Anna. Breathtaking view! We enjoyed our visit immensely, and will definitely look forward to returning!

                We loved our stay at Oak Cove over July 4th weekend. The house is beautiful and meticulously maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfy. The bunk bed room fit all 7 kids with plenty of room. They loved ping pong and air hockey as well as their own TV room. There was a nice selection of books downstairs in case you forget to bring a book. The lake was warm and a bunch of us enjoyed fishing off the dock. We are grateful to Allyson for letting us know that the July 4th fireworks were on the Saturday before — they were beautiful! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and very welcoming. All in all, we had great time at Oak Cove!
